Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell was a television personality, a former chef in the Institute of Culinary Education and she was formerly an instructor of cooking. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef at the Food Network. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef, with her trademark hairstyle and her pumped up personality, explains easy techniques anyone can master. Chef Burrell also worked at some of New York's top establishments, learned about the Italian food and culture, and was a contestant on Food Network's Iron Chef America. While living in the New York's Upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. She pursued her passion for food and restaurant by enroling at The Culinary Institute of America following her graduation in English as well as Communication at Canisius College, Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was the place where I experienced the most enjoyable time of my life. I could not study or accomplish enough. After graduation, Burrell spent one year in Italy studying in the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and worked in the Umbrian restaurant La Taverna del Lupo as and Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, a Michelin-starred restaurant. While in Italy Burrell developed an appreciation for and knowledge of Italian cuisine and its culture. It will have a significant impact on the way she cooks. Burrell is a celebrity ambassador for the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board, which helps children with obstacles. as a speaker, guest and mentor she travels across the United States to discuss her love for cooking and profession. Anne always felt fortunate that she could share the passion that she had for sharing her cooking skills with other people.
